
BIRN is a multimillion dollar funded projectresponsible for building an infrastructure of networked high-performance computers, data integration standards, and other emerging technologies, to pave the way for medical researchers to transform the treatment of disease.The BIRN project is funding core GridSphere development and support as well as using GridSphere to deliver a portal for biomedical researchers.
The D-Grid initiative is a multimillion euro funded project in Germany to develop a Grid infrastructure in Germany that will support the needs of application scientists in a variety of disciplines including medical research, astrophysics, particle physics, climate research and others. Core GridSphere support is being provided at the Albert Einstein Institute.
GridSphere related development at PSNCis funded by several EU funded projects, including HPC Europa, OMII-Europe(website coming soon!) and InteliGrid. PSNC is committed to enhancing our flagship Grid Portlets project, as well as to providefeedback and contributions to the GridSphere portal framework.
